Silver and Turquoise Feather Pendant Workshop
The workshop teaches participants goldsmith skills, including cutting and polishing metal, using the workbenches, and learning how set gemstones into silver. The tutor will provide real silver to hammer and shape into a pendant, as well as a selection of different colored turquoise stones and patterns for participants to choose from. Participants will also learn more about turquoise and how different regions effect the color of the gemstone. This class is recommended for participants who have experience with basic jewellery making.

About The Instructor : LOUPE RESIDENCY DESIGNER- Ronald Chan
Ronald Chan is a Toronto/Hong Kong-based designer and artist, graduated with his undergraduate degree in Material Art and Design (Jewellery) from Ontario College of Art and Design University in 2015. Having delved into both the accuracy from digital design and traditional fabrication, he combines these two techniques to produce highly detailed and narrative jewellery for his own brand. His brand Devil Claw Jewellery is completed with dynamic, narrative and individual meanings through the symbolic elements and storytelling in his jewellery.
