Valerie Ho completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2018. She discovered her interest in jewellery making when she was an exchange student at Maine College of Art in the United States.
Valerie is interested in local culture and figuring out personal identities. Jewellery design is a way to express her perception and observation of the surrounding environment. Similarly, wearers who adorn themselves with jewellery presents their cultural identity, social conditions and life experience. She likes to make use of local objects in different places, and convert them into jewellery. She believes that the living environment reflects people's attitudes and conditions in life, so she keeps exploring and observing different parts of the city for creative inspiration.
