JANUS NG, the founder of “5+2 Experimental Jewellery”, is a Hong Kong-based jewellery and fashion accessories designer who graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Jewellery and Metalwork at Sheffield Hallam University. Her works have received awards in contests such as the South Sea Pearl Jewellery Design and HK Chuk Kam (999 Gold) Jewellery Design Competitions, and she was also a Finalist of the De Beers Diamond Jewellery Competition. With extensive exposures in both the fine and fashion jewellery industries, Janus was a former Senior Designer at SWAROVSKI. To further enrich her life experience, she travelled and studied in Europe, obtaining inspiration for her creations by observing the coexistence between people of different cultures, faiths and social systems.
In late 2017, Janus launched her jewellery brand, 5+2 EXPERIMENTAL JEWELLERY, which integrates oriental and western cultures, philosophies, materials and techniques to express different messages via her jewellery pieces. She employs unusual materials to illustrate the “True Value of Beauty” of the elements in her designs, which unveil the UNIQUE characteristics of their wearers.
