Désirée Kolarec is a London-based Slovenian jewellery designer. Over the past seven years, she has used her designs to express her personal beliefs and tell stories of enlightenment. Clean and bold shapes define her style and character. She is determined to inspire personal wellbeing for universal welfare.
She trained as an industrial designer at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana and University of Art and Design Linz, and further pursued Masters of Arts degree at the renowned Royal College of Art. She is working as a Jewellery Designer for Zlatarna Celje, the biggest jewellery manufacturer in Southeast Europe producing jewellery since 1844. Currently, Désirée is exploring the subject of light in her jewellery.
Loupe's Design Residency Programme is a comprehensive mentoring programme with industry experts from the established Chow Tai Fook Jewellery, specially created for jewellery designers who wish to elevate their career and skills to the next level. During the period of mentorship, designers-in-residence can expect to develop their skills and capabilities in jewellery design in the fully-equipped environment at Loupe.
