Xiong Wei is a Chinese jewellery designer. He entered the Jewellery Institute of China University of Geosciences in 2008 and is currently pursuing a PhD study. During his PhD study, his research direction is the 3D direct manufacturing technology of precious metal. This is a cutting-edge manufacturing technology that will make it possible to customize jewellery in large quantities. By researching the processes and characteristics of advanced manufacturing techniques, he seeks a combination of modern technology and artistic expression to achieve amazing jewellery creation and custom design. At present, he is engaged in 3D printing technology and design in the jewellery advanced manufacturing research centre established by Vice President Hao Liang.
